Zephyr +

Our Zephyr + Sauna features the same sauna dimensions as the Zephyr, but with an added changing room. This modern sauna features large picture windows in the sauna and changing room and full view glass doors, providing a thoughtfully designed balance of light and intimacy. Parallel upper and lower benches in the sauna accommodate 4-6 people. The changing room is large enough to comfortably change clothes, cool down between rounds and relax. Our Zephyr + Sauna features beautiful and durable finishes such as vertical wood cladding on the interior and exterior, standing seam metal roof and a natural wood floor. Available with an electric or wood burning sauna heater

Specifications

  • Seats. 4-6 people

    Size. Exterior dimensions are 14” x 7’. Height to peak is 10’-7 ½”. Interior dimensions are 6’-10” x 5’-9” (sauna) & 5’-5 1/2” x 5’-9” (changing room) with a 7’ ceiling height. 

  • Siding & Exterior Trim. Vertical 5” wood cladding. Knotty Western red cedar (standard) or Arborwood thermally modified southern yellow pine (upgrade). Modern 1 ½” wide trim around windows and doors. Exterior cladding installed over a ventilated rain screen for long term siding durability. 

    Siding & Exterior Trim Finishes. Natural, unfinished exterior will develop a silver gray patina over time (standard). Add some color and additional protection from the elements with natural pine tar finishes from Earth + Flax or timber oil from Cutek Extreme, available in multiple colors (upgrade). Additional finishes available upon request.

    Roof. Standing seam metal roof available in a variety of finishes (Burnished Slate standard). Vented roof assembly with hidden vents. 

    Window & Door. 24” x 80” wood doors with full view glass in sauna and changing room.  Large 4’ x 6’ picture window in sauna and 3’ x 6” picture window in changing room.  Windows & doors feature tempered, LoE high performance insulated glass.

    Insulation. Rockwool R-15 in walls and R-23 in ceiling. Foil vapor barrier.

    Flooring. Knotty western cedar 5/4 x 6” decking (standard) or Arborwood thermally modified southern yellow pine 5/4 x 6” decking (upgrade). Aluminum screen beneath decking.

    Interior Paneling. Knotty western red cedar (standard) or Thermory thermally modified aspen or alder (upgrade) 5” tongue & groove paneling on walls and ceiling. Paneling installed vertically on walls.

    Benches. Knotty western red cedar (standard) or Thermory thermally modified Aspen or Alder (upgrade). 82” bench lengths in sauna. 21” deep upper bench, 18” deep lower bench. 65 ½” x 21” bench in changing room.

  • Ventilation. Passive ventilation through flooring. Fresh air intake vent located behind heater. Exhaust vent located beneath upper bench.

    Sauna Heater. Electric models feature Homecraft Revive 9kw electric sauna heater. Wood burning models feature Iki Mini wood burning sauna heaters.

    Sauna Controller. Electric models feature Homecraft sauna controller (standard) or Homecraft wifi sauna controller (upgrade)

    Lighting. Electric models feature interior and exterior wall sconces, switched independently from the exterior. Wood fired models come standard with a  rechargeable Biolite AlpenGlow 500 lantern for flexible off grid lighting. Additional lighting options available upon request.
